Sports Medicine

Sports Physicians are doctors with specialist training in sports injuries and illnesses and hold the qualification of Fellow of the Australasian College of Sports Physicians.

Sports Physicians specialise in the treatment of athletes of all levels and other physically active individuals, treating injuries such as muscle, ligament, tendon and bone problems as well as chronic conditions that can affect physical performance, such as asthma, diabetes and cardiac abnormalities.

Treating Complex Sports Injuries

With extensive education in musculoskeletal medicine, Sports Physicians can accurately diagnose complex sporting injuries and their causes as well as advising on ways to manage and prevent injuries.

At the elite level, Sports Physicians play the key role in performance sport, whereby an athlete’s physiology is monitored and aberrations are corrected, in order to achieve peak physical performance.

  • If referred by another health practitioner, please bring referral letter with you to your appointment.

Cancellation/change of appointment

We require 24 hours notice of change of appointment / cancellation, otherwise a cancellation fee may apply.

Note: Please wear comfortable clothes suitable for exercise.
